“Cause when you don’t feel strong enough to stand, you can reach, reach out your hand.”
The College of Political Science and Public Administration Student Council heartfully presents the STRAW Helpdesk, c/o the Student Rights and Welfare (STRAW) Committee. This project aims to uphold a more pro-student environment within CPSPA, by prioritizing the conditions of its students.
The STRAW Helpdesk is divided into different components, for more specificity in raising student welfare issues. Students may express or report concerns concerning academic, psychological, and/or safety; and the committee would accommodate you to necessary offices in the university, depending on the flow of the report. Moreover, a “BUDDY,” or a JCO, would be assigned to help the students throughout the process of their report.
We hope that this would empower and encourage students to report issues that are of great concern, especially if it would hinder the learner’s ability to learn.
In today’s setup, it is important that students’ rights and welfare are to be heard because they are the major stakeholders of this institution. Lastly, we believe that taking care of the students’ physical and mental well-being also means empowering them to serve fellow Iskos and Iskas more efficiently.
