Nelson Mandela once said that education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Students across the world are the future of our society. This day remembers the values of multiculturalism and diversity amongst the education sector.
Today, November 17, we celebrate the international studentsโ day as a reminder of our importance to society as students of the modern world. The celebration of the International Studentโs Day started in Czechoslovakia to commemorate the 1939 Nazi storming of the University of Prague after demonstrations against the killing of Jan Opletal and worker Vรกclav Sedlรก. This event is a manifestation of how education shapes us to be the catalyst of change in our respective communities through resonating the message of youth empowerment to all of our fellow students.
The CPSPA Student Council is with our fellow students in raising awareness to fight for the rights of our fellow students during this time. We all play an important role in helping us bring genuine and meaningful changes in our society. Together, we are the future of our society.
